B.K.S. Iyengar

B.K.S. Iyengar began yoga at the age of 16, under the teaching of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. By age 18 he was teaching yoga in Pune, India where he still lives today. B.K.S. Iyengar is a world-renowned master for his precision and perfection of yoga. He has published many books, but he is renowned for the book that is known as "the bible of yoga,"  Light on Yoga

He has inspired thousands of people and hundreds of yoga institutes all over the world, dedicated to teaching his method. People continually turn to his techniques of yoga for its unique legendary therapeutics and the holistic benefits of the body, mind and spirit.  His innovative use of props allows everyone to experience the benefits of yoga in their current level of strength and flexibility.
